Review from Trains magazine, Vol. 67, No. 3, March, 2007, p. 74.

"Author Zeiller does an outstanding job telling the story of Henry Flagler's dream portion of his Florida East Coast, from its construction through rough terrain in the miserable conditions of south Florida to its demise in the Labor Day hurricane of 1935. Many of the rare photos used have not been seen before; they were shot by Bill Glass, one of the construction engineers working on the project. They show life in the various construction camps, as well as the havoc storms did to the project. The book also chronicles the state's purchase of the right-of-way for the building of U.S. 1, and shows what remains visible today."
